Fire Cider to Support Your Immune System

Fire Cider immune support.jpg

It’s an annual tradition in Dr. Holtski’s household this time of year: making fire cider!

Once the temperature drops and the rain arrives, it’s a great time to refocus on healthy routines to support your immune system. One of our favorites is making, sipping on, and sharing fire cider.

If you’re not familiar with fire cider, it is a tasty vinegar infusion packed with warming, wellness-supporting, and antimicrobial properties. This is a great immuno-supportive beverage that you can sip the whole winter through!

This year's recipe includes: rosemary, thyme, marjoram, pineapple sage, ginger, horseradish, jalapeños, garlic, onion, and lemons. All of that topped with about 4 quarts of organic apple cider vinegar.

Mountain Rose Herbs offers a great recipe on their blog here, or your local herb shop is a great place to look for additional inspiration!
